Ben Callahan

Ben and his team at Sparkbox have been working hard to better understand the context and role of design systems in organizations of all sizes. As a part of that work, a model of design system maturity has evolved.

In this session, Ben will share this model along with various contexts (the origin story of the system, healthy and unhealthy versions of each stage, how this is impacted by startup vs enterprise culture, etc.). You'll be able to identify where your system fits in the model as well as the challenges you'll face to reach the next stage. In addition, you'll learn what to be thinking about and measuring early so that you can prove value later in the life of your system.
